Board Member

Jeff Jones was born in Provo, UT and currently resides in Mapleton, UT. Jeff is a father of 3 girls and considers family his most cherished relationships.  He graduated from Timpview High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing from Utah Valley University. Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors of the Utah Valley Home Builders Association. Jeff grew up working for his family owned business, Jones Paint and Glass where he is currently acting as the Vice President.

Jeff’s passion for the outdoors began at a young age with the support of his family and others.  His hobbies include snow biking, camping, golfing and of course, hunting and fishing. Recently, friends have introduced the joy of Waterfowl hunting to Jeff which has taken him too many different states and even Canada.

Jeff began applying to hunt bighorn sheep in his home state of Utah as soon as he was able.  Jeff’s first hunt for bighorn sheep was in 2004 where he was able to harvest his first Dall ram.  This amazing hunt began his life-long passion for wild sheep. The pursuit of his Full Curl took 16 years to accomplish, finishing it off with a New Foundland Mountain California Bighorn in his home state. Jeff has been fortunate enough to harvest 8 sheep and has been on numerous other sheep hunts with friends and family. His pursuit for a second Full Curl is in horizon with only one more Rocky to accomplish this goal.

Jeff is a life member of Utah WSF. His passion for Wild Sheep, from both a hunting and conservation perspective runs very deep and even multi-generational.  Jeff is truly honored to be on the Board for the UWSF. He looks forward to working to grow this fine organization. He appreciates all the efforts of the loyal members who donate time and money to help put/keep sheep on the mountain!
