Utah Wild Sheep Foundation Names Russell Casey as Executive Director and Hadli Sorenson as Vice President

The Utah Wild Sheep Foundation (UWSF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Russell Casey as the organization’s new Executive Director. Russ’s passion for conservation was forged early in life. Hunting from a young age instilled in him a deep appreciation for wild places, the wildlife that inhabit them, and the enduring responsibility to protect and preserve those resources for future generations.

Over the past two and a half years, Russ has been an active and dedicated supporter of the Utah Wild Sheep Foundation and its mission to conserve Utah’s wild sheep populations. From volunteering at banquets and participating in guzzler and sheep relocation projects, to collaborating alongside members, donors, partners, and fellow volunteers, Russ has demonstrated a hands-on commitment to the work that defines the organization. It is that same spirit of service and stewardship that he now brings to his role as Executive Director.

The Foundation also extends its sincere gratitude to Hadli Sorenson for her service as Executive Director. Under Hadli’s leadership, the organization experienced tremendous growth over the last several years, expanding its membership, its fundraising reach, and its on-the-ground conservation impact. The Foundation is pleased that her leadership will continue, Hadli is moving into a new role as Vice President of the Utah Wild Sheep Foundation and will also serve on the board of directors.

The Utah Wild Sheep Foundation is dedicated to protecting the future of wild sheep in Utah through strategic fundraising, impactful education and outreach, dedicated support of our conservation partners, responsible project funding, advocacy for Sportsman’s rights and a commitment to operational excellence. We look forward to a bright future for wild sheep in Utah!
